Fred brings  years of leadership and success in property and casualty insurance and reinsurance to arbitration, expert witness and consulting assignments. He earned a reputation as an industry visionary, pioneering innovative marketing strategies, achieving dramatic turnarounds of two companies and building a third from zero to $2.3 billion in just two years. 

Over the course of his career, Fred has assessed more that 90 property and casualty insurers while in the process of acquiring, building and restructuring companies. He knows what to look for in evaluating fiscal and operational strength and how to restore strength when difficulties arise. In transforming the companies he ran and advised, Fred introduced new products and channels, drove down combined ratios, drastically improved customer satisfaction and financial results, and managed multiple mergers and acquisitions.

Highly regarded throughout the industry, Fred has served on the boards and/or executive committees of a number of industry organizations and companies, including the Insurance Services Office, American Institute for Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters, Reinsurance Association of America, National Council on Compensation Insurance, Association of California Insurance Companies, Colorado Casualty Ins. Co., Cresta Financial Holdings, LLC, Fireman’s Fund Ins. Co., Golden Eagle Ins. Co., Montgomery Mutual Ins. Co., Delphi Systems and Inroads, Inc., a job-training program for disadvantaged youth and is a New Jersey Court Appointed Special Advocate for foster children.
